The JFS Tikvah Program
Case Management & Advocacy
The Tikvah program provides information and referral services, crisis intervention, and social work counselling (both individuals and families) for Jewish low income individuals and families.
The Tikvah program endeavors to raise the profile of the disenfranchised and marginalized to the Ottawa community at large, and the Jewish community in particular.
Tikvah Social Workers are available to help clients access community services in both the Jewish community and the Ottawa community at large.
The Tikvah Program provides one-time or monthly financial assistance for Jewish people living below the Low-Income Cut-Off (LICO). To apply for assistance, clients must complete an ‘Application for Assistance’ form with a social worker and provide relevant financial documentation such as proof of income source and expense documentation. A copy of your tax assessment is required.
Emergency Relief (EZRA Fund)
