In Our Hands (B'Yadenu) is a program sponsored
by Jewish Family Services of Ottawa to engage the Jewish community
in Jewish and city-wide initiatives
that reflect our commitment
to affordable housing, education, the environment, poverty
reduction and hunger relief. Through partnerships with local organizations, we hope to make a difference in our community
and in our world. We believe collaboration with local non-profit
organizations is key to addressing and resolving social justice
issues.
As
well as offering a broad range of volunteer opportunities,
B'Yadenu is excited to offer social networking events for
young professionals.
Activities include workshops for individuals in their 20's
and 30's and Shabbat potluck dinners.
We want to hear from you. Let us know
what matters most to you in your Jewish community.
B'Yadenu has been
busy!
We have participated in a Habitat for
Humanity build, picked apples, and helped clean up the Ottawa
shoreline.More about our
