At JFS we are able to develop individualized service plans to meet a senior’s and/or caregiver's specific needs.

As part of our assessment, we may meet with the senior, their caregivers and families in their home in order to ensure that their needs will be met.

Our caring and professional team of Social Workers is able to provide information and referrals to other Jewish community and public sector services.

Advocacy and intervention on behalf of the senior is an essential part of what we do to ensure a secure network of services is in place and at the disposal of our client.

Linking seniors with the proper caregiver support helps ensure safety and stability which allows them to remain comfortable in their own homes for longer periods of time.

We are also able to assist with the application process and transition to retirement residences and long term care facilities.

Our Social Workers continue to follow each senior and coordinate their services in order to provide each person with the highest possible quality of life.

We also provide short-term counselling to further support and guide seniors and their families through the challenges associated with ageing.
