Thelma Steinman Seniors' Services Support Unit Navigating the Health Care System
Are you a senior experiencing difficulty accessing health services or do not know where to turn?
Let the Social Workers at JFS assist you in accessing the services available in the Ottawa Area. JFS Social Workers have many years of experience navigating the health care system on behalf of seniors.
They understand how difficult it is to get a physician, how frustrating it can be waiting for a specialist and they can help guide you in filling out forms to access services from Community Care Access Centre for long-term care homes. Perhaps you are experiencing some memory loss that is concerning you. JFS Social Workers know where to call for geriatric assessments, financial benefits and services in the geriatric field. JFS Social Workers will do home visits, assessments, and intervene in an appropriate manner.
