Thelma Steinman Senior Support Services at Jewish Family Services of Ottawa is designed to assist Jewish seniors and their families in accessing the resources and services needed to maximize independent living and enhance quality of life. This is a fee for service program, based on a sliding scale.

Many seniors tell us that they would like to stay in their homes as they age. To do this safely and with dignity, some in-home services may be necessary. The Thelma Steinman Seniors Support unit can assist in making these choices.

Engaging Immigrant Seniors Project
As part of the Ontario Government’s “Aging at Home” strategy, Jewish Family Services of Ottawa is the lead agency for a group of local agencies in providing services to Ottawa’s increasingly diverse seniors population in a culturally and linguistically sensitive manner. The Engaging Immigrant Seniors Project, is funded by the Champlain Local Health Integration Network.
